2) Have patience (Sabr) that Allah is making it possible for the love to grow and He knows how to create the best situation for you. Stop worrying about how long it takes for the results to appear. 
3) Get all the doubts, worry and fear out of your mind and focus on Allah's power and intelligence to work for you.
4) Pray five times a day (on time). 
5) Make istaghfar and do shukr on all the blessings and favors Allah has done you (there are plenty of blessings, just look for them by thinking).

Here is a very beautiful dua for sins. We, as humans, have ego and we keep making mistakes. When we talk about sins, we usually refer to big ones, that is, the ones that attract Allah's wrath. We should remember that asking Allah for forgiveness of our sins should be done with one hundred percent faith. Most of the times, we keep repenting and repenting with no hope of getting forgiveness, this is wrong as we must know Allah is the most merciful and He knows of every single thought we create in our mind and heart.

Authentic Hadith Dua For Allah's Love

As Allah says in Quran : “And whoever invokes (or worships) besides Allah, any other god, of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely, al-kaafiroon (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah) will not be successful.” [Quran (Surah Al Muminoon, Verse 117)]

It goes without saying that absolute abstinence from Shirk (invoking Gods besides Allah) is a pre-requisite to gain Allah's love. Plus, we should have a pure heart while asking Allah's for His Love and Mercy upon us.
