Without the love for Allah, all our prayers and good deeds are less likely to be accepted and even duas wont have an effect. A prayer offered with love for Allah and His creatures especially his beloved creatures (the pious and sincere ones) is thousands times effective than the dua offered in misery and disappointment. Allah has created this world and different creatures so that He could test the best and worst among them. To be an ideal Muslim who has Allah's affection is no undoubtedly an uphill tasks. But seeking the closeness of pious men and those who strive in the way of Allah is most sough-after way to start this wonderful journey.

| Authentic Hadith Dua For Allah's Love |
As Allah says in Quran : “And whoever invokes (or worships) besides Allah, any other god, of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely, al-kaafiroon (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah) will not be successful.” [Quran (Surah Al Muminoon, Verse 117)]
It goes without saying that absolute abstinence from Shirk (invoking Gods besides Allah) is a pre-requisite to gain Allah's love. Plus, we should have a pure heart while asking Allah's for His Love and Mercy upon us.
