Were 1999 and 2011 World Cup Matches Fixed?

Match fixing has plagued the integrity of the game of gentlemen--cricket. In the context of Pakistan, it seems even more true. We lost two great talents to match fixing in the form of Muhammad Amir and Muhammad Asif back in 2010. There have been always rumors of Pakistan cricket team being involved in match fixing.

But are they true? Has anybody proved them right? Other than the case of Salman Butt, Muhammad Amir and Muhammad Asif, no confirmed match fixing case has surfaced on the media. Maybe it is much more organized and well-thought-out than we ordinary cricket fans ever think about.

This anchor has rightly pointed out the need for investigation into the World Cup 1999 defeat to Bangladesh and India in 2011. He cites different people who have witnessed the events that prove the involvement of Pakistani players in match fixing.

I think a proper investigation should be launched into the matches of 1999 and 2011 World Cup where Pakistan team underperfomed on purpose supposedly. Cricket is not a gentlemen game anymore, it seems.

Not that I am saying all the matches are fixed, but we have seen match fixing cases in football where the entire teams we involved in losing for illicit money. It can be true in the case of Pakistan cricket. This video has got me thinking on these lines.

Shoaib Akhtar's Advice for Misbah and Team Pakistan

Pakistan is all set to face Zimbabwe in their third group match of World Cup 2015. It is almost like a do-or-die situation for Pakistan. In case of defeat, we will be certain to come back home disappointed. A win may assure the chances of reaching the quarter final. Watch what Shoaib Akhtar has to advised to our under-fire captain Misbah. I too seriously believe it is time that we stop bashing our team and support them. If Misbah anchors the team well, Pakistan will stand the chance of winning it all. I agree with Shoaib Akhtar.

Indian Army Chief Saluting and Praising Pak Army Soldiers, Rare Video

It is a rare sight but a good one. The current India Army chied praised Pakistan Army and its military expertise. He was obviously not talking from any Indian platform but in the position of United Nations ambassador. He kept on praising the role of Pakistani brave soldiers and insisted that he was speaking all this from the core of his heart. It is a indeed a matter of pride for our brave Army soldiers who risk their lives to save the country. Jiyo Pakistan Army!

How Malik Riaz Gained Wealth in No Time

Malik Riaz Hussain is the real estate tycoon of Pakistan. His rise to riches and fame is however very controversial and comes under scrutiny. His critics allege that he used shady tactics to expand his enterprise.

His hallmark project Bahria Town is a laudable effort as it offers the lavish and most comfortable living across the country. Malik sahab has never come clean over the charges and accusations made against him.

He is allegedly involved in various land grabbing and encroachment incidents. The popular notion is that this guy knows the art of buying just everything, from politicians to land development authorities. He gifted a lavish Bilawal House in Lahor to the then-president Asif Ali Zaradari.

He is friends with all the most powerful politicians and generals in the country. I cannot pass judgement over his journey to riches. I think what goes in his favor is the quality of housing that Bahria town offers to its resident.

It is not for the middle class income people though but it outshines the high level and elite societies in the country. This video shows his shady tactics of land encroachment.

Gulf status symbol: Dubai rich guys flaunt wealth in unusual ways

This is how rich people in Dubai flaunt their money and wealth. Make an instagram or Twitter account and drive the world crazy with pictures that grab attention! This may be a bit too much for even for most of the richest men in the world.
The man in the pictures is Humaid Albuqaish. His Instagram account is flooded with visitors as he has been the object of discussion for his large stock of lions and sports cars. Some of you may think that showing off money and taking pictures with some of the most lethal animals on earth is not wise, but this is the cost of showing off in places like Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait and other Gulf countries.
Here, Humaid is seen enjoying his time at his speedboat and his cuddly friend is still with him. This time, he poses with a Jaguar by his side. Sitting atop the speedboat, the animal does not look scared at all as it seems Humaid is pretty good taming and training these lethal creatures.
Resting after meal. Humaid has grabbed the attention of Instagram users from around the world. What caught me by surprise is that most of the rich guys in Gulf countries are now signing up with Instagram and uploading such images and videos show off to the world. From expensive gold-made cars to animals like lions, Arab rich are taking the lead. Sounds scary though.
Humaid is squatting at his luxury sports car and how come his loyal friend isn't with him. But this one looks quite scary. The lion, must be over four hundred pounds, does not look happy but we hope things will stay fine with two of them. :)
It is meal time. A fresh goat to enjoy. The feast must cost a fortune, and that on a daily basis. Feeding a dozen animals that include lions, jaguars and white cubs is not something every rich can even think of. This one needs extreme craze.
What better food to serve than to throw a fresh shark and feed expensive white cubs. This must have cost him a fortune to bring up these two cute baby lions.

The best ride ever? Trying riding a lion
This is status symbol in Gulf region nowadays and this should not surprise your folks. Haven't you seen a gold-made car whizzing through Dubai streets? at least on TV or a video?

This is becoming a norm among Dubai and Arab rich youth to import lions and tigers. They are ready to spend surprisingly huge amount of money to buy these lethal creatures.
