Islamic Prayer Dua For Debt Relief

Being in debt is a killer. It consumes us with stress, and destroys our happiness and sense of security. It destroys marriages, and if the debt is between family and friends then it can ruin those relationships. In some countries, inability to pay your debt can even you put in prison. Dua is a miracle and it should be an integral part of our lives.

Here are some beautiful Quran verses and hadith.
Say,” O ALLAH, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom you will and you take sovereignty away from whom you will. You honor whom you will and you humble whom you will. In YOUR hand is (all) good. Indeed, you are over all things competent.

You cause the right to enter the day, and YOU cause the day to enter the night; and YOU bring the living out of the dead, and YOU bring the dead out of the living, AND YOU give provision to which YOU will without account.

Another beautiful Islamic prayer from hadith of relief from debt:

O ALLAH, I seek refuge in YOU from grief and sadness, from weakness and from laziness, from cowardice and from miserliness from being overcome by debt and from being overpowered by men (i.e. other people)

                                                                     -Al bukhari

O ALLAH forgives my sins, keep evil away from me, release me from debts, and place me among the highest companions.

O ALLAH! The lord of the heavens, the lord of the earth, the lord of the great throne, our lord and the lord of everything, the one who split the grain and the date stone, the one who sent down the TAWRAH, INJEEL and QURAN. I seek YOUR refuge from the evil of everything in YOUR control. O ALLAH! YOU are the first and there is nothing before YOU, YOU are the last and nothing is after YOU, YOU are the apparent and there is nothing more apparent than YOU, YOU are the hidden (from the creation’s sight) and there is nothing more hidden than YOU. Settle our debts and spare us from poverty.

I feel obligated to mention that part of the reason so many people are carrying so much debt is our addiction to the material lifestyle. This lifestyle is completely contrary to what Islam teaches us, into the example set by the prophet (peace be upon him) and the Sahabah (may Allah be pleased with them all).even when they become rulers of the world, they continue to live simple and humble lifestyle, because they understood what really matters in life.
Dua for Debt Relief

So the first step for us is to check our priorities, and to realize that what matters is our relationship with ALLAH. Beyond that, the important things in life are our family relationship-loving our spouses and children and spending time with them, worshiping with them, supporting them. Then our friendships and doing some good in the world, creating something meaningful, and being an agent of compassion in the lives of those around you.INSHAA-ALLAH the above duas will be helpful for you.
