Waqar Younis and Moin Khan Gaming PCB

The poor performance from the Pakistan cricket team in the World Cup 2015 is certainly a cause for concern for everybody but why is that we always have had issues in the past too going into the world cup. Shehryar Khan revealed the differences that Waqar Younis and casino-champ Moin Khan had over the captaincy of Misbah as they wanted to see Afridi captaining the side?

Now we get the point. Judging by what Chairman has said, we can assume that coach and chief selector are not interested in the project taking Pakistan to glory or even come close to it. This further manifested when Moin Khan was found gambling in the casino just before the match against West Indies.

We know how we tasted defeated disgracefully in the match against West Indies that could have been won easily. Let's hope things now get better and both the coach and chief selector mend their way and think and work for Pakistan.

Pakistan have still chances of reaching the quarterfinals if the side goes unbeaten in all the coming group matches.

Moin Khan Casino Scandal Still A Story

Moin Khan, the chief selector of Pakistan cricket team at the World Cup 2015 has been under fire since his presence in a casino of Christchurch hit the media scene. The much-criticized former wicket-keeper is finding it hard to defend himself after the PCB launched investigation into the matter.

With Moin having already brought shame and disgrace to Pakistani nation and cricket team, it is unlikely he will face any harsh penalty other than merely getting kicked off his position. Surely, he will be fired once the team is back after the World Cup but will it be enough to clean the mess up that is eating up the public funds and resources.

Moin Khan career was never clean and far from controversies. He was allegedly involved in match fixing scandals that were never proved though. These pictures with friends in the casino have now hit the media scene and it shows his commitment to the Pakistan cricket.

He should be ashamed of his demeanor while leading the Pakistan cricket team as a chief selector. But we all know he is not a man of high moral values otherwise he would have stepped down himself from the post and return to country amid the world cup.

Halal Food Pakistan: Ministry of Science Report

This is sad as the government has not been able to do anything about prohibited food being imported into Pakistan. I have been trying to get my hands on the reports and notifications in this regard.
Yesterday, a shocking news emerged regarding haram food being sold in Pakistan and the worst part is there is no regulation and directive to stop this. Pakistan, which is constitutionally an Islamic country, does not allow open selling of prohibited items to general public.

The Ministry of Science and Technology has rocked the boat, in my opinion, as about 23 items are being imported under the nose of government, custom authorities and other bodies responsible to keep an eye on trade. The items listed by the Ministry of Science and Technology are illegal, according to Pakistani constitution which espouses Islamic Shariah, because they contain elements or ingredients deemed haram by Islam.

Selling liquor is partly allowed as people are dealing in this business under the pretext of non-Muslim status and the government allows it. But daily-use food items being sold like this is clear violation of the law and constitution.

Some religious factions have already started campaigns to force the government to stop import of prohibited items.
