Why my wazifa is not working?
There are a lot of people who often complain that their
wazifas and all spiritual practices do not yield the desired results. The
result is similar to somebody who is not doing wazifas at all. There are a lot
of reasons why wazifas do and don’t work. We will list down all the potential
reasons why your wazifas may not be working for you. Pay close attention to
these points and overcome these barriers and then restart doing wazifas.
No Namaz(Salah and other
necessary Islamic Obligations):
There is a tiny majority of people
who begin to subconsciously believe that wazifas are more important than
Namaz(Salah), Fasting and Zakat. Wazifas will work 100 percent work for a practicing
Muslim while non-practicing will always face some barriers and difficulties in
getting their duas accepted.
Indulgence in Sins:
Quite clearly, Sins are the
major barrier between us and Allah’s mercy. If we intentionally or unintentionally
indulge ourselves in sins, then there is 100 percent certainty that wazifas
will not work for you. The first and
foremost condition before starting wazifas is to stay away from all major/minor
sins as much as possible.
Illicit (Haram) Earnings:
Wazifas will not work for those
people who earn their living off illicit, haram means. One such example might
be a person making money through bribery/corruption. It is necessary to understand
that in order for wazifas to work, we should earn the halal and permissible
way.
Lack of Gratitude:
I consider this the most
important part of the equation. If you are not grateful to Allah for the
blessings He has already bestowed upon you, then chances are your wazifa practice
will always be an exercise in futility and vain. The law of gratitude demands
that we remain grateful to Allah in all times. Gratitude is the force that
makes it easy for us to get our duas/wazifas accepted.
Lack of Repentance (Astaghfar):
In Quran, Allah (SWT) says: ‘Ask forgiveness
of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. [Quran 71:10]. ‘He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in
[continuing] showers. [Quran, 71:11]’ Rain is blessing and Allah(SWT) has used
this metaphor to teach us how beneficial repentance, astaghfar is. We are most of the time doing wazifas to seek
Allah’s blessings and there can be no better way than Astaghfar to get our
wishes granted by Allah. At another instance in Quran, Allah (SWT) tells us “. . ask forgiveness of your Lord and then
repent to Him. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in showers and
increase you in strength [added] to your strength. [Quran 11:52]
The above mentioned Quranic verses
clearly reveal the importance of Repentance and doing astaghfar.
In conclusion, I would say this
from my own experience that a person doing constant gratitude and repentance(astaghfar)
will in fact no longer need any long-term and time consuming wazifas. Allah
will make things easy for such a person.
