Dua For Forgiveness

There is no human being who is free from sins but what we all need to realize is that Allah's mercy is bigger than our sins. A sincere repentance and dua is always accepted by Allah. The first and foremost condition is sincere and pure heart through which we seek forgiveness from Allah. Allah says in Quran: “Say: O My slaves who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily, Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Surah Az-Zumar 39:53)

The creator of all worlds, Allah, has set the rule through which all Muslims and believers can ask for forgiveness. The worst thing that a person could do is being pessimistic about Allah's mercy as if He does not forgive the sinners. Feeling bad about the sins committed is the first step towards the acceptance of our duas. However, we should keep in mind, that the sins we are trying to get forgiven should not be repeated.

Reciting Astaghfar throughout the day and staying firm is the key to getting our sins removed the recordbooks of Allah. Allah loves the people who always seek forgiveness with a pure heart. Practicing self-control and crying out of fear of Allah are also the methods to seek forgiveness of Allah.
