Makkah Clock Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the Middle East

Makkah Clock Tower is known for its lofty structure and it has attracted people for a number of features but one thing that still makes a lot of wonder what that little room over the top of the golden crescent is for. Well the room is a prayer place that is accessed with a high-speed elevator.

The little prayer room has given the tower a feature that is unique. We can safely call it the tallest prayer hall.

Saudi Arabia government owns the Makkah Clock Tower. The building is situated right net to Haram e Kaaba. According to a report, the government spent about three billion dollars in the construction of Makkah Clock Tower.
