Sharmila Farooqi is a well-known politician and has been actively participating in national politics for a long time now. Her marriage drew a lot of attention and the electronic media scrambled to cover every event related her wedding. The dance and party of her Mehndi function went viral on the Internet and people congratulated her on the occasion. But the way electronic media covered the function and slammed Sharmila for inviting an Indian singer on her Mehndi function is shameful. I do not understand this attitude of our media tycoons and leading anchors. This was more than enough and the abuse should not have been tolerated.

Despite her boldness, Sharmila received the flak from dissenters and political rivals who though her act was a bit overboard and she did not need to do that.
