Renowned TV host and news analyst Kashif Abbasi spoke his mind about Saulat Mirza's confessions to the public and media, and I think he makes a lot of sense. Most of the news that is emerging following Saulat Mirza's interview focus on the already-discussed information like his confessions to killing people at the behest Altaf Hussain, but not on where the investigations will go.
There has been a lot of talk over who were behind the killing of KESC MD Shahid Hamid, but not a single case has reached its logical conclusion. Saulat Mirza has talked nothing new as his previous confessions have been shared widely on the media, both electronic and social media, but the authorities could not get around to doing anything about it. Kashif Abbasi says that the government should take this matter seriously and handling it half-heartedly will only make things difficult and peace will nor return to Karachi.
