Junaid Jamshed Beaten Up At Airport

Junaid Jamshed was beaten up at airport by some unknown people while he was passing through the airport lounge. The people rounded up and some came forward and slapped him until the security staff escorted him to safety. The angry group alleged that he had done blasphemy on Hazarat Ayesha (RA). Junaid tried to clam the people and negotiate with them but the crow did not stop from beating him further. Eventually, Junaid had to get off the scene.

The ex pop-singer reverted to the basic teachings of Islams and gave up his famous lifestyle to adopt Islamic-preaching and apolitical group Tableeghi-Jamaat after being influenced by the lectures of Maulana Tariq Jameel.

This public reaction has emerged for the first time since Junaid Jamshed narrated the incident of Hazrat Ayesha (RA) in what could be a termed as blasphemy. After the incident, Junaid apologized to the people for his irresponsible religious sermons and ever since he has avoided giving lectures on camera.

Pakistan again face a shameful exit from the T20 cricket World Cup as the result of rift among the team mates. We did not play as one unit and the shameful result was not a surprise. Whenever, our team lose, the pressure mounts on the captain in charge. The similar thing happened to previous captains including Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and Inzamam-ul-Haq in 2007. Though we won the 2009 edition of T20 world cup under the captaincy of Younis Khan but this time it is Shahid Afridi who is attracting the negative spotlight--something he doesnt like. While he landaded at Dubai airport, there was only one person who received him. 

The journo present on the airport asked Shahid Afridi if he was upset with performance of the team. He replied surprisingly saying it was not the first time we lost the major tournament and there was nothing for to worry about. Sources say, Afridi has delayed his arrival back to  Pakistan supposedly due to media pressure that he has always failed to face confidently in times of crisis and defeat. 

Shahid Afridi was also surprised to see the report on the airport and inquired how he came to know about his arrival in Duabi. Disinterested in giving any interview, LAL drove off in a very luxurious car.

The bookie reveals that Umar Akmal has been involved in match-fixing as he gave away a lot of matches on the tips of some "outside" money makers that have their money on the line. Personally, I also feel that this bookie may not be far from truth. Yesterday, we saw another similar debacle against New Zealand in match that Pakistan could have easily won but lost due to slow-paced batting from Umar Akmal and Shoaib Malik. Chances of Pakistan going into semifinals are slim to none and the fate depends on the other teams matches provided that we win against Australia in the final T20 world cup 2016 round match against Australia.

Pakistan cricket has long been prey to match and spot fixing and the latest case was that of Salman Butt, Muhammad Amir, and Muhammad Asif who brought disgrace to the the entire after being convicted of spot fixing against England at Lords in 2010. 

Of course, we cannot confirm or take the claims of this bookie as true word for word but match fixing has marred the cricket and it happens in low-importance matches. Although this is an old clip but we cannot rule of possibility of match fixing in every major and minor tournament just because it is not proved in the court of law.

Sharjeel Khan Won Our Hearts

Sharjeel Khan won the hearts of millions of fans today after showcasing his class as he scored quick 47 in a tough game which unfortunately lost against New Zealand. From the beginning, it seemed like Sharjeel would contribute his best part to Pakistan's victory but the slow innings and inability to covert dot balls into boundaries cost us the match. It was a relatively easy and batting wicket to play on as Sharjeel himself said the interview but Ahmed Shehzad did not play well and scored run-a-ball innings. Further, Shoaib Malik and Umar Akmal added to the troubles of our innings. 

Sharjeel was a flop in Asia cup but he proved his talent today. Of course, the green wickets will always expose his technical issues with batting but on a batting track, he can be as dangerous as Sanath Jaysuria.



At the moment, the chances of Pakistan reaching the next knockout stage are extremely slim. Pakistan will have to beat Australia by a heavy margin and India will have to lose next two games against Bangladesh and Australia which is unlikely as well.

It was yet another dooms day for Pakistan cricket as we fell in defeat to New Zealand in a match that could have been easily won. Pakistan bowled relatively well and did not allow Kiwis to score past 200. Surprisingly, the batting line-up started off pretty well. Sharjeel Khan played a massive knock and scored 47 off just 26 balls and it seemed like Pakistan would somehow win the match but it seemed Umar Akmal and Shoaib Malik intentionally slowed the pace of runs that Sharjeel Khan had developed. Sources close to Afridi say that the skipper was not at all happy and said Pakistan did not deserve to reach the semfinals of the World Cup T20 considering the poor batting performance in the consecutive matches. Sadly, the efforts of Sharjeel Khan went in vain.

In the post-match interview, Shahid Khan Afridi clearly hinted at his retirement from International cricket after the one final game against Australia. The chances of Pakistan reaching the semifinals are very slim unless some miracle happens. Head coach Waqar Younis also blasted the batsmen and said we could have chased the target if we kept up the rhythm set by Sharjeel Khan.

It could have been the victory for Pakistan that would easily set up semifinal berth for the team but Umar Akmal and Malik seemed to have a different agenda altogether. Afridi was rightly and clearly upset with the dismal batting show by the duo and it somehow reflects the inner rift among the team mates.

Imran Khan Bash Cricket Team For Defeat Against India T20 World Cup 2016--Lagta Hai Mujhy Khud Khelna Parega

It was yet another defeat against India in the World Cups for Pakistan as the previous tally was not enough. India crusied to rather comfortable 6-wicket win despite some initial heroics from Mohammad Sami who bowled out two key batsmen in consecutive deliveries. In my opinion, it was a much better from Pakistan side compared to the poor performance they showed in Asia cup defeat earlier this month.

The performance of Virat Kolhi was the stand-out moment of the match who batted to take India to their first victory in the tournament. India had entered the tournament with defeat against New Zealand but they have kept up the tradition of beating Pakistan team in the mega events. Though Pakistan still has chances of reaching the next as they entered the tournament with a comprehensive victory over Bangladesh.


Imran Khan, the cricket legend, was too disappointed with the performance of the team and even said "mujhay khud khelna pare" He is probably hinting at the poor captaincy of Shahid Afridi. The first mistake our team made was their inability to read the pitch. It was the spinning track and Indian captain Dhoni utilized his spinners against Pakistan batsmen. Rightly says, the game of cricket largely depends on the decision making of the captain leading the side in the ground. However, Pakistan does not seem to have broken the hoodoo of defeats against India in the World Cups. We still stand the chance of winning the World Cup if the players perform well in the next game against New Zealand--who already beat India in the first match.
