Islamic Dua for brain injury and brain damage

English transliteration of ayat  e shifa:
This Quranic Dua has been a miracle to cure brain injury and brain damage. The key to getting the desired result is full faith in Allah. And equally important is the question how much grateful you will be when Allah heals the brain injury? Imagine a situation where the brain injury of the persons has been healed by Allah, create the intense feeling of gratitude (shukr) towards Allah and let Him know that you are going to be grateful to Him for every single blessings and favor and you will stop being ungrateful for His blessings (healthy brain and good health is a great blessing too).

  1. Is this real? Can dua really heal illness? Brain damage/stroke? Does it say anywhere in the quran or hadith?

    1. Yes, dua can really heal illness. Be it brain tumor or cancer. Quran doesn't force one not to go after treatment and conventional means of cure (doctor, hospital surgeons etc). It mainly depends on how much faith one has in Allah and His ability. Although physical treatment has never been frowned upon in Islam, we have seen people who have cured diseases like cancer with gratitude. It is your faith that does miracles.

    2. Thanks for answer. Does it say anything regarding this in the quran or hadith? I did a lot of drugs one vacation and after this i was vere sick. I did not go to the doctors or anything, which i should have. Looking back now i am pretty sure it was some kind of brain damage? Stroke i think. Since then i have struggled to function normally. And Allah knows best.

    3. Yes brother there are a number verses in Quran which talk about healing and cure. In Quran there are "ayaat e shifa" especially revealed for healing and cure. Check out this link: Ayat e Shifa For example, here's one verse:

"And We send down of the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe… (Quran, Surah Al-Israa, 17:82)

      From Hadith (authentic/Sahi):

“For every disease there is a medicine, and if that medicine is applied to the disease, he will recover by Allah’s Leave.” And he (s.a.w.) said: “Allah has not sent down any disease but He has also sent down the cure; the one who knows it, knows it and the one who does not know it, does not know it.”

    1. Welcome Jazakallah. I asked this question on purpose, that how much thankful you will be if Allah pulls you out of this mess. This is a miraculous and magical way of prayer. Nothing pleases Allah more than thankfulness. If you start thanking deeply and genuinely Allah for something you want in life, changes start happening miraculously and the actual manifestation of you desire is done by Allah powerfully. Try this, it will change your life forever. Not just random thanks.
To do this, sit quite in quite place for about ten to fifteen minutes, with eyes closed. Start imagining the situation where you have come out of your trouble. Play a mental film of your Dua having been fulfilled. For instance, see yourself in your imagination that your mental health has been regained and now you are fully fit. Hear yourself telling your relatives the good news about it. And then create strong feeling of thankfulness towards Allah, saying Alhamdulillah repeatedly over and over again. All this should be done in imagination. Besides these imagination sessions of 15 minutes, start giving thanks to Allah for every single blessing you have been given. You will be extremely shocked to see how much Allah loves His praise and appreciation. Thankfulness (Shukr) is bigger than Patience, Guilt, and even Asaghfar. Thankfulness will gradually bring you closer to Allah every single day and you will even start detecting your mistakes that usually get you in trouble in life.
