Karachi Police Exposed

The lowest salary in Police is around 20 thousand rupees per month but the corrupt policemen come up with the pretext that it cannot cover their cost of living and as a result of this they have to seek bribes as an extra income. I am sure you have not seen the level of corruption our police is involved in. You can hire their services for any purpose, killing, kidnapping for ransom or any other crime. It will all happen under the cover and protection of police. Sad. The honest officers should play their role in stopping this unimaginable height of corruption. It creates law and order situation in the country. It is a complete dysfunction of a major institution.

Karachi Police For Hire, Unbelievable Level of Corruption

Corruption is at core of our police department throughout the country and it is the institution that requires massive and groundbreaking reforms. We all know that police is involved in taking bribes from the ordinary citizens of the country. They loot the ordinary citizens by using undue advantage of their powers and end up making huge chunks of money.

However, this is very shocking program of Sar-e-Aam that exposes the corruption of police in Karachi. The program was recorded with hidden cameras and fictional characters. It is pretty disturbing to know that anybody with money can buy the services of our police that should be the most efficient and quick force to protect the citizens and deter criminals theoretically.

With due respect to honest police offers who are serving the nation without getting involved in corrupt practices, the police is at large corrupt to the core and needs massive reforms that will drive and root out these criminal police officers from the department.

If you have 1 lac rupees to spend per day, you can hire the police officials and mobile to give you protocol throughout the day. You can take any work from these paid police offers who are not officially incumbent to serve you.

It is nothing but a murky and organized crime that contributes to the increase in crime in a mega city like Karachi. Iqrar-ul-Hasan deserves much praise for doing this program. I wish him all the best and services to expose the criminal element in the society. I can assuredly say that I did not know that Police can stoop this low for money. They can even kill your enemy if you pay them 1 million rupees. What kind of country are we living in? This program really gives a food for thought and our high-ups should think and restructure the entire department.

Again, only the few honest police officials can do this but this is an uphill task and will take ages. Sad moment. I am short of words to describe my disappointment about the department that I once wished to join.

Dubai and crime: Drop a wallet and see how many people try to steal it?

Dubai is one of the most peaceful places in the world, and it is not just an exaggerated claim, it is practically the place where most people would want to live, or at least want their respective countries to be like it.

A short video grabbed my attention and it made me want to share this one with you guys. We talk a lot about crime and theft and there is hardly any country that is free from such criminal activities. But I never thought Dubai, which is inhabited by people from around the world.

Stealing is something that is hard to stop and even if police is super smart, these crimes can continue. But Dubai is a different place. A guy made a video to show how nice Dubai people are. He intentionally drops his wallet on the floor on busy Dubai roads and sees what happens. To his surprise, nobody passing by tries to steal the wallet that is full of money. He does not choose one road, there are several spots filmed and not in one instance people try to do something foolish.

Watch this video and share what you think of this? Does your country also have people who can keep themselves from stealing. It is not just about laws and strict rules because some of you may think that Dubai is one of the countries that have the strictest civic laws. But you can get away with stealing even in a country where punishment of stealing is hand-cutting. It is not about laws, it is about the trust that people and government share. It is about brotherhood and compassion. It is about being nice to your neighbour and passers-by.

Sharmila Farooqi dances on her own wedding/mehndi function

Sharmila Farooqi, a well-known female political activist from Pakistan Peoples Party, was seen dancing on the floor at her Mehndi Function. What caught many by surprise is that she was not alone on the dance floor -- she was with her husband and was really having fun.

Sharmil Farooqi rose to prominence after Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan before getting killed in 2007. Sharmila's political career is not that successful, but she has enjoyed key positions at provincial level in PPP.
The dance was captured with a mobile phone camera and the Pakistani media got its nasty hands on the footage and circulated it across the social media. The video might not be disturbing for Sharmila and her relatives, but this is horrible and the media's shameless attitude has been exposed. Enough is enough.

Pakistan Railways performance: Taizgaam Express

Pakistan Railway is in the news once again, and of course for all the wrong reasons. This is sad and scary. One little mistake could have got many people in danger, but the staff of Railways is not fazed.
The engine of a Taiz Gaam Express nearly got buried in the ground.

Pakistan women's protection laws being misused?

By Rana Ilyas

Now this is some alarming news. A law that was introduced to protect women in Pakistan is now being misused by women? This is shocking. Read this piece and I will then share my views below.
Pakistani women rights law: Are women using it to their own advantage?

Mubashir Luqbman on Altaf Hussain Video

Mubashir Luqman was bashing MQM and its Chief Altaf Hussain. He exposed the criminal activities of MQM. According to him, the Karachi-based party has always used the ethnic card to its advantage and that no media outlet can dare to stop giving them airtime. Warna Borni tayyar rehti hai

Mubashir Luqbman Bashing Altaf Hussain And MQM

Mubashir Luqman has become a hot property in the Pakistani media for his outrageous and sometimes bitter shows that went on air. Nowadays, he is free after Ary management refused to let him do a program that had overtones against MQM and its chief Altaf Hussain.

Luqman was considered a close friend to Altaf Hussain but it was the thing in the past. He is now loggerheads with the London-based party chief and his party mainly dominant in Karachi. Luqman revealed one of the darkest secrets of Altaf Hussain's life which I am sure you have never known before.

According to Luqman, Altaf is ailing from a disease that threatens his life. And that doctors have suggested to cut his entire feet so that the spread of that disease to the entire body could be stopped.

In response to anchor's question if he has some vested interest in only targeting MQM and its cheif, he said he has not left anybody in his biting criticism. From military to opposition parties, he has blasted all of them in his talk show that is no longer on air.

Now, Luqman is said to have his loyalties lie with the second largest party, PTI and Imran Khan. We all know Imran Khan has also been a staunch critic and opponent of MQM and its invovlment in the criminal activities.

He said that he did not even leave his colleagues and media house owners and continued to expose them and their wrongdoings.

Are men superior to women?

Are men superior to women and they have every right to raise a hand on their wives? These are the questions that keep cropping up all the time, not just in third world countries, but in the developed regions too.
A social worker from India has been working for gender equality and she is pretty vocal about women abuse in India. Indian society has seen too much as far as torture and mistreatment on women is concerned.

I am not talking about recent rape incidents in different India cities. I will not go into how women are sidelined in the job market either. I will share with you here how Indian women are the receiving end at their homes, almost always. And this is what has worried this social worker.

Amir Khan, a Bollywood icon, caught up with this lady by the name of Kamla who is known for her work for women's rights. Amir Khan asked her various questions about how women can improve their position, especially married women who are usually at the receiving end and they are the ones who have to bear the brunt of men's wrath.

Kamla spoke confidently about why women are treated bad and why men behave in such a way that puts women in trouble and makes their domestic life hell.

Amazing Run Out That I've Ever Seen In Cricket

I have seen various great run outs in the history of cricket world but this one tops the list. See how casually Jeese Ryder hit the ball at the wicket. The batsman in hurry and dives to save his arse but could not. This is one of hell an amazing run out in the game that will live long in my cricket memory. Hope you'll also like this one.

Pakistan Corruption: Transparency International Report shows numbers are improving

Here is a Transparency International report that shows some encouraging news.
The numbers and statistics shown by credible international agencies, especially Transparency International, are encouraging and it seems Pakistan is going in the right direction as far as limiting corruption within the country.

Pakistan has seen worst corruption of its history in the past two decades and there were growing concerns among the international community about its future economic outlook. Things, apparently, have stated to get better, on paper at least, but there is still a lot to done in order to eradicate corruption at lower level. Institutional corruption is hard to end, but the country has gradually improved its position despite worst terrorism it has been facing for the last 12 years.

Many multinational groups left the country after terrorists attacks started disrupting civil life and economic activities. There were incidents like killing of Chinese engineers in KPK and Balochistan.

Pakistan Rangers, Karachi Operation

Pakistan Rangers is taking the lead in the ongoing Karachi operation, with Karachi police giving it support in many of raids it conducts.
So far, Rangers have been able to bring much of situation under its control as far as law and order goes. Most of the criminal factions have been forced to go in permanent hiding or been arrested.

Rangers' recent statement sent shock waves across Karachi as some political factions are playing blame game instead of supporting Rangers in putting an end to terrorism and crime. One political party, which Rangers avoided exposing in the media, seemed a little hurt after Rangers conducted several raids in their strongholds. Several target killers were arrested, some even killed in encounters.

There is a growing concern among traders and business community of Karachi that how long this clean-up operation will go on as business activity has got hurt the most. However, there is a considerable progress that traders have noticed as law and order situation in main business districts has improved. Extortion rackets still exist, but criminals are finding it hard to carry out their activities.

Why Sarfaraz Ahmed Is not Getting The Chance?

Here is the funny report on Sarfaraz Ahmed's exclusion from the team thus far. Maybe Misbah is taking the suggestion of Taposi Jee far too seriously. LOL. It is funny as hell and who knows Misbah might be thinking on these lines.

Who's Stopping Misbah From Selecting Sarfaraz Ahmed?

Pakistan has won only 1 out of its 3 World Cup matches. It took a lot of efforts from Pakistani team to beat the weaker team such as Zimbabwe. The team selection for the World Cup 2015 has always come under strict scrutiny and criticism by fans and ex PCB and cricket players.

Sarfaraz Ahmed, the young wicket-keeper, is yet to play a single game in the World Cup despite suggestions from Wasim Akram and others that he should play. He has improved a lot as a wicket keeper batsman.

I also feel that Sarfaraz should now play in the next match. With Misbah labeling leg spinner Yasir Shah's exclusion as strategic, there is less likelihood of young wicket keeper playing in the next game.

What's stopping Misbah from selecting Sarfaraz as the opener. Has the Taposi Jee suggested against his inclusion. The famous PK film character often was quoted as saying that "Sarfaraz Dhoka Dega". Is it the major stumbling block for Sarfaraz Ahmed.

I believe that the batting of Sarfaraz Ahme is strong enough to take Pakistan out of trouble when needed. We have seen that the batting has choked and collapsed against India and West Indies in the World Cup.

Pakistan will play its next match against UAE. I am expecting the inclusion of Sarfaraz this time. He will definitely prove himself as the real asset for Pakistan cricket.
