Imran Khan lashes out at Altaf Hussain, MQM responds with anger

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf Imran Khan has said that Karachi should not be put in trouble because of a powerful political party that has ruled this city for the past 25 years, and yet still there is no peace.

Imran Khan was speaking to a press conference in Islamabad this evening. He openly criticised MQM chief Altaf Hussain, saying it is now time for MQM to distance itself from its founder who has staked the entire Karachi due to his megalomaniacal tendencies.

Lashing out at him with even stronger words, Imran Khan called Altaf Hussain a mad man. He said Altaf Hussain should be removed from his position and he should now do his party favor.

Imran Khan expressed his concerns about not being able to do anything about Zehra Shahid who was murdered in Karachi just a few days before 2013 General Elections.

Imran also talked about Baldia Town factory fire incident that has put MQM in trouble. "Burning innocent people working in Baldia Town factory is barbaric and those involved in this grisly crime should be brought to justice sooner than later," Imran demanded.

Ever PTI gained a foothold in Karachi politics, MQM has started sensing danger and there has been several confrontations between the two parties. PTI has refrained from locking horn with MQM because Imran knows that MQM has a much more solid grip on local politics, still, thanks largely to its wheeling and dealing.
